Moments of the Month November

There have been many magical and moving moments across the Homes this month, making the selection for ‘Moment of the Month’ incredibly difficult for our Manager’s. We would like to say a big thank you to all of our staff, who often go above and beyond their paid duties, to ensure that our residents are cared for, loved and safe.

Below are the individuals, who have been recognised for their outstanding contribution this month.

Trewidden Care Home

Congratulations to HCA, Tanya Richards.

Tanya was nominated because she gave her time with a resident who was at the end of their life. This resident had no family, but had been a big part of Trewidden Care Home.  Tanya talked to them and held their hand.  She was their family when they needed it the most.

Thank you, Tanya

Trecarrel Care Home

Congratulations to HCA, Patrick Buxton.

Patrick was nominated because he came in on his day off, especially to spend time with a certain resident.  They shared a lovely day of gentle activity and talks about the garden.

Thanks you, Patrick.

Rivermead View Care Home

Congratulations to HCA, Rose Plummer.

Rose was nominated for all the time she has given to supporting activities at Rivermead View, including some funky dancing sessions!

Thank you, Rose.

Meadowbrook House Nursing Home

Congratulations to Martine.

Martine was nominated because she took the time to organise and take Lenny, in all his medals and smart clothes, to the local Remembrance Service.  It was a very proud moment for Lenny.

Thank you, Martine.

Cowbridge Care Home

Congratulations to Cook, Clare.

Clare was nominated because she has gone out of her way to help make new residents to the Home feel welcome, making cups of tea and taking time to listen and chat.

Thank you, Clare.

Beech Lodge Care Home

Congratulations to Wellbeing Coordinator, Nicki.

Nicki was nominated after the Home received a lovely ‘Thank You’ letter from Jenny Lewis.  Nicki had organised and taken a resident to the launch of a short film about Riding for the Disabled, which Heather, the resident, started at Chiverton Stables about 60 years ago.

“Everyone was so pleased to see Heather and watch her cutting the cake to celebrate the occasion.  It would not have been possible without Nicki.  Her care for Heather was absolutely exemplary.  Heather was very kind to us, she made a huge difference to my childhood,” writes, Jenny.

Thank you, Nicki.
