My dad is now very settled and happy here. We have noticed him coming more and more out of his shell and engaging in activities and singing and they thought this is something he would never do. I leave Bolitho everyday knowing she is in good hands and gets better care than I could ever achieve at home.
We are very pleased with everything in the home. The staff are very lovely and always seem very friendly and caring. The bedrooms are immaculate and plenty sized.
I find the home very welcoming and attentive to my husband's needs. The staff are always polite, kind and willing to help where they can. The staff are helpful to me as well as my husband, which I find excellent as it's difficult to be without him.
Care workers cater to personal needs and requests especially facilitating walks and fresh air. Visitation is easy and accommodating with friendly and caring staff.
This home and staff have upped their game since January this year. The staff re very pleasant and helpful. My only concern is that activities are still poor but have been assured things are about to change.
We are really grateful for the care given to Mum. Her room is clean, fresh and we feel thankful that Mum is here, having great care.
During my visits the staff have always been really helpful, caring and also cheerful and considering the work they do I think they all deserve a medal.
Everything in Frances Bolitho Care Home is amazing ¬ the staff are all so friendly and will do anything for the residents, nothing is too much trouble. Can't rate this place highly enough.
About Frances Bolitho
The home is situated over two floors, with access via stairs or lifts and the home is fully wheelchair friendly. All bedrooms are for single occupancy. with all rooms being en-suite.
We have two large bright comfortable lounges in our main building, one on each floor, each with access to a television. Our dining rooms offer a pleasant seating area, including access to a courtyard garden downstairs, where you can enjoy a varied and balanced menu.
All laundry is done on site.
Our home has internal and external CCTV monitoring in communal areas, to enhance general oversight of care and to aide security.
At Frances Bolitho, we aim to treat all resident as individuals and provide a place where people are valued, safe and well cared for with dignity and discretion.

Events & Activities
At Frances Bolitho we have a dedicated Health and Well-Being co-ordinator who tailors activities around our residents needs and wishes. Within our care plans, we construct a life history and build activities best suited to this.
These activities take into account, previous occupations, hobbies, life experiences as well as the needs of the particular resident and where they are now. We strive to create a programme of stimulating and meaningful experiences which will enhance our residents’ day to day living.
Our Menu
We partner with award winning Apetito to deliver nutritional, balanced and delicious meals.
Eating and drinking is an important part of everyone’s daily life. In our Home, we cater for all diets and aim to make mealtimes enjoyable and social occasions. Our kitchens are supplied by Apetito, award winning specialists in catering for the care market, whose recipes are developed by expert chefs, nutritionists, and dieticians to develop dishes that not only look and taste fantastic but are meeting the dietary and nutritional needs of all our residents.
Bolitho Frances offers three substantial, well-balanced hot meals daily. All of our meals can be tailored for special dietary requirements.
Breakfast – Breakfast is served daily from 7:30 am. We have both cooked and continental breakfasts available each day.
Lunch – Our lunch is served from 12:15 pm daily. Our menu varies based on the season and preferences.
Evening meal – This is our last meal of the day and this is served from 16:30pm. We have various choices from lighter hot meals, soup and sandwiches.
Fancy a brew? Then keep a look out for our tea trolley with a selection of biscuits, cakes and other homemade snacks. This popular trolley will be around at 11 am and 15:00 pm. But don’t worry, you are always welcome to a snack and a cuppa whenever you wish.
We also have water, squash, juices and hot chocolate available too!
